i have some electrical wiring questions about car.?
ok first off is it dangerous to replace both the positive and negative wire on the battery with a larger Gage second i need to replace some wires with connectors attached and the specific connector is no longer manufactured im think of pulling the old wires out and and threading new wires in and holding it in place with electrical solder would this work or is there a better way and by the way the connector are in the engine compartment.
It's not dangerous to replace the battery cables with a larger gauge as long as you use a cable jacketed for that use. The wrong jacket could deteriorate in the harsh engine bay environment and ground out leaving you stranded or possibly with damage to repair.
Running new wires should work. Just be careful with the solder so you don't create a jump to another wire. Also make sure whatever you rewire is water tight.
