Can I stretch my ears from a 8g to a 4g?
I have my second holes pierced and gaged. I got them pierced with a 10g and then stretched to a 8g all at the same time. That was an easy experience. So I was wondering if I can stretch from an 8g to a 4g easily and safely using a taper. I just need to stretch up to a 4g to account for flares on the end of a 6g plug. thanks!
I went 8g to 6g on the weekend and had no troule with the taper but a horrible time getting the flesh tunnel in.
I HATE double flares with a passion. if you can't get them in when stretched to a 6g, it is gonna be HELL to get them out. Just don't do it. Because your ears will close around the 6g even if you stretch to 4, and you'll have the hardest time of your life getting them out. Because you have a space of about 1mm over which to stetch up an entire gauge... I couldn't even get my 8G out right after I put them in. My suggestion would be that if you are only looking to go to 6G, stretch to a 6g (or a 4g, will just be easier to get the earring in), but don't use a double flare, get something that's straigh and has an 0-ring or a twist on end. SO much easier.
You could try 8-4 but if it hurts, stop.
