how to measure a specimen block using nlock gauge?
dial indicator was used to mesure dimension of the specimen block. These measurement was compared with a combination of gauge blocks. Length using block gauge=50 , 2.5 , and 1.080. indicator reading= -0.052.. how do i determine the dimension of the specimen block?
NOT NLOCK GAUGE.
BLOCK GAUGE, THANK YOU
Let me see if I understand this correctly: you stacked the gauge blocks for a total height of 53.580 (mm?) and zeroed your dial indicator to this height then moved the indicator to the surface you are measuring. If this is the case, your dimension is 53.528 (53.580-0.052).
