Not the Only Song (Hardgroove/Manson)

“Not the Only Song” by Jono Manson and Brain Hardgroove (bass player for Public Enemy).

The song was written in response to the arrest of three members of the feminist punk band “Pussy Riot” in Russia, for singing an anti-Putin protest song in a church.

The women have now been sentenced to two years in prison . Two of them are mothers of young children. The song is sung from the perspective of one of these children. Brian played bass and drums and Jono played guitars and sang, and the song was recorded at
